An overview of the questions in Paper 2 of A Level H2 Math

If there’s something that I didn’t expected, it’s having another vector question in Paper 2! Yes, vectors make up a significant portion of the A Level Math, but after 2 questions in Paper 1 that carry a total of 19 marks, I really didn’t expect a third one in Paper 2. What’s more, this is a rather long vector question (in Paper 2) that carries 12 marks. In all, vectors form a whopping 15.5% of the entire 2023 A Level Math Paper.

Difficulty of the 2023 H2 A Level Math Paper

I surveyed my students. The majority find this paper ok. Almost all found the Statistics section in Paper 2 easy, except for the last part.

My opinion is that at least 90% of the paper are your typical exam questions. If you have completed your revision, it shouldn’t be an issue. They do test harder or more tedious questions, but they are covered in the majority of most lecture notes, — and if you engage a tutor (including yours truly), you should have gone through similar questions multiple times.

There are some less typical questions, like the vector question in Paper 2, but overall, this paper is an ok one.
