Parallel Vectors

The diagram below shows examples of parallel vectors.

Parallel vectors are shown in this diagram. notice that they only differ by the multiple in front of them, when they are parallel vectors.

What do you notice?

Well, they are all multiples of the vector c.

How to show that 2 vectors are parallel?

If vectors a and b are non-zero vectors, and a = kb, where k is a constant, then a and b are parallel.
